Buenos Aires mobile art

Sunday 8am in Buenos Aires in summer. Many portenos have fled the city humidity for environs like Cordoba. I crept in search of stencil art in Palermo. More graffit art than when here several years ago, but with a much feels ‘manufactured’ to keep an edge to the hip neighbourhood.  De ja vu when see a stencil I had photographed years ago. On Nicaragua Street some edgier and real stuff.

9am comes, and with it the emergence of cafe staff casually set up alfresco tables. I sit and observe.   An old train line splits the lane on which the cafe sits, willows casting shade. Early risers walk dogs. An old couple bring thermos of coffee and newspapers to the park. Silence, broken only by the occasional car rattling the cobble-stoned street.
